49ER ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES
Opened in fall of 2005 the building adjacent
to The Walter Pyramid houses the 49er administrators, and non-pyramid

BICKERSTAFF ACADEMIC CENTER
Opened in the fall of 2006 the academic center
houses the Center for Student Athlete services and its staff. It
is also used for study hall and evaluation. MORE

STRENGTH COMPLEX
Open in the fall of 2006, the new strength
complex located on the East end of the PE building, features state
of the art equipment. MORE

49ER TRAINING ROOM
The main training room is located in the West
Gym on campus across from the campus pool. It not only has training
tables but also room for rehabilitation. MORE

THE WALTER PYRAMID
One of only three pyramids in the country,
the 18-story structure and 5000-seat arena houses both volleyball
and basketball teams and the ticket office. MORE

BLAIR FIELD
The permanent home to the Dirtbags since 1993,
Blair Field at the corner of 10th and Park, across from Wilson High
is the team's 3000-seat baseball facility. It is believe that more
future Major Leaguers have played at the field than any where else

EL DORADO GOLF TRAINING FACILITY
Located two miles from campus it is home to
the 49er golf teams practice facility. It is the largest, stand
alone golf facility in California and is exclusively used by the

GEORGE ALLEN FIELD
Named after the Hall of Fame football coach,
George Allen, the field is currently home to the 49er soccer team
and is located near the corner of Atherton and Palo Verde. MORE

49ER POOL
The two swimming pool complex features one
Olympic size pool and it is home to the 49er water polo teams, the
school's aquatic programs and various youth club teams. MORE

49ER TENNIS COURTS
Located next to the soccer field, the tennis
courts features 12 courts which is lighted for night-time recreational

JACK ROSE TRACK
Named after the U.S. Track and Field Hall
of Fame Coach and the 25-year head coach at LBSU, Jack Rose, the
track is host to numerous events throughout the year. MORE

RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
There are numerous indoor and outdoor sports facilities available to
the public for recreational use. These same facilities are available
on a rental basis for large group activities. To rent a facility for
your group, contact the event office at (562) 985-8561, To use the facilities
for daily recreational use refer to the schedule below. Please call
the FACILITY HOTLINE AT (562)985-7977 for updated hours. All hours are
subject to change as they are used for physical education activity classes,
intercollegiate athletics and reserved by outside groups.
EAST GYM and WEST GYM: Open
during select hours for basketball, volleyball and badminton. Evening
and weekend hours are available when not used by classes, intercollegiate
athletics and group rentals.
TENNIS COURTS: There are
14 courts open on a first come basis. Players must provide their own
equipment. No reservations taken.
RACQUETBALL COURTS: There are 6 fully enclosed
racquetball courts available on a first come basis. Courts are available
M-F 3:00 - 10:00pm; weekends 7am - 7pm.
POOL: A 10-lane, 50-meter pool
is open for lap swimming M-F 6:30 - 8am and 12-1, M-TH 7:00 - 8:00pm.
Passes are available for $1/day or $20 for 25dat use.
TRACK: The all-weather
track is open 7am - 8am,12-1 and 5-dusk Monday - Friday; 7am - 4pm Sat..and
Sun.
OTHER FACILITIES: Outdoor basketball and volleyball
courts, a putting green and driving range are also available during
the week and on weekends at various hours.
