GET TO KNOW ANDREW LIEBEL(pronounced LEE-bull): After 54 career relief appearances,
the righthander was moved into the starting rotation late in 2007 and has
blossomed into the team's No. 1 starter. He has pitched into the seventh in
all 19 of his career starts, and posted back-to-back shutouts over UC Davis
and UC Santa Barbara in early May lowering his ERA to 1.69 on the year.
He currently leads the Big West in innings pitched, and ERA and
is second in strikeouts and in the Big West top-five in opponent batting
average.
