The Long Beach State 49er men's and women's golf teams will host their first-ever post-season banquet on Saturday, May 10, at Smooth's Sports Bar & Grille in downtown Long Beach. Smooth's is located at 144 Pine Ave.

"For the first time, the 49er men's and women's golf teams will host a year-end banquet to recognize and thank the student-athletes for their efforts in representing the University throughout the year," said 49er men's head coach Bob Livingstone. "Family and boosters are invited to attend and to recognize these young men and women. A special thanks to Smooth's and John Morris for supporting this new event and to Dan Gooch for his organizational assistance! As always, thank you for your continued interest in, and support of 49er Golf!"

Reception will begin at 3 p.m. followed by dinner and program at 4 p.m. Cost is $25.00 a person to attend as well as those who are interested in sponsoring a player.
