Volleyball Earns 21st Consecutive Tournament Bid
Volleyball Earns 21st Consecutive NCAA Bid Postseason Release (1-14) NCAA Tournament First Round: Pepperdine Waves (18-10) vs. LONG BEACH - Winners of 23 of their last 25 matches, Long Beach State was chosen for their 21st consecutive NCAA tournament, joining just three other schools with that many consecutive tournament appearances. Participating in the Gainsville regional, Long Beach State opens play Friday against UNLV at the Galen Center, home court of host USC. All-Tournament tickets will be sold from now until Friday, and are $15 dollars for adults and $12 for seniors, students and children. Single session passes, good for both matches on Friday or the one match on Saturday will go on sale Friday. Prices for those tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors, students and children. Tickets can be purchased through the USC Box Office at (213) 740-4672 or online via the USC website, www.usctrojans.com. Following the opening day of play on Friday, the winners of the two opening round matches are tentatively scheduled to play Saturday at 7:00 p.m., with the winner advancing to regional play in Gainsville, Fla. courtesy of host Florida.
